# Stabledrop — escrow payments with a dispute window > Stablecoin payments that a human can dispute for a stated period. The money sits in a > non-custodial escrow on Base, and a signed receipt attests to what happened. Built so that > agents can pay on a person's behalf while the PERSON keeps the right to object. Payments settle in USDC on Base (chain 8453). The escrow's address is a pure function of its terms — token, buyer, seller, amount, maturity, tiebreaker and an id — so the terms *are* the address. That is what lets a payer sign a destination before anything exists at it, and why no credential is needed to use the service: a request whose terms derive anywhere else is refused. ## For agents - [MCP endpoint](https://api.stabledrop.me/api/ap2/mcp): tools for working out where a payment must go, settling one, checking what happened and verifying a receipt. Streamable HTTP, no authentication. The server holds no key and cannot sign — it is handed a signature, or the funds are transferred to the address directly. - [Server card](https://stabledrop.me/.well-known/mcp.json): endpoint, transports and capabilities, for automatic discovery. - [API reference](https://api.stabledrop.me/api/ap2/settle/doc): the same operations over plain HTTP, with the OpenAPI spec at `/api/ap2/openapi.json`. ## What an agent should know before paying - **Two ways to fund an escrow.** Transfer the tokens to the address from any wallet, or hand over the payer's signed EIP-3009 authorization and we relay it — in which case the payer needs no gas at all. - **The seller does not receive the full amount.** The escrow factory charges `max(1% of amount, 0.30 of one token)` at creation. The receipt reports the payout and names the fee, and the two reconcile to the sum authorised. - **Only one wallet can dispute.** Whoever is named as the nominal buyer, and nobody else — not the agent that paid, not whoever holds the receipt. For an agentic payment this should be the person, not the agent. - **A maturity of 0 means no recourse at all**, deliberately and irreversibly. There is no default: the request must say which. ## Pages - [How it works](https://stabledrop.me/how-it-works/): an escrow payment start to finish - [FAQ](https://stabledrop.me/faq/): fees, disputes, timing - [Dispute policy](https://stabledrop.me/dispute-policy/): how a dispute is decided, by whom, and on what evidence - [Terms of service](https://stabledrop.me/terms-of-service/) - [Privacy policy](https://stabledrop.me/privacy-policy/) - [Plugins](https://stabledrop.me/plugins/): WordPress and Shopify integrations
